The Gen6 Identity Verification

Gen6 is built on the principle that identity needs to remain under your control. You create (your keys) and manage your own identity, rather than relying on third parties to define it for you. In this model, identity is tied to the keys you control, because if the keys are not yours, the identity is not truly yours either.

This approach is designed to preserve privacy and personal freedom. You disclose only the information you choose to share, and no forced KYC process is required to access the ecosystem. Once you create your Gen6 identity, you can use all Gen6 services without surrendering unnecessary personal data.

At the same time, Gen6 makes it possible to prove ownership or authorship of content through the identity you create, without requiring you to reveal your real-world identity.

Who verifies the Identity?

Gen6 uses a decentralized verification model in which multiple independent Verification Experts are authorized to review and approve verification requests. Verification may be requested for identities classified as Human (Green Badge), Organization (Gold Badge), or Machine (Blue Badge).

When a request is submitted, it is reviewed by a Gen6 Verification Expert. Verification is granted only after approval, helping ensure that verified identities remain credible and trustworthy across the Gen6 ecosystem.

Ask the Gen6 Verification Experts to verify you. Under the current setup, at least two experts must confirm your request, and this threshold is expected to increase as the network scales.

Proving Content: Authorship and Authenticity

With a Gen6 account you can prove that content is associated with your identity. This allows you to establish authorship, authenticity and ownership in a way that is cryptographically verifiable.

Gen6 Apps preserve flexibility and self-sovereignty in how identities are created and managed. You are free to create and control your own keys, ensuring that the foundation of your identity remains in your hands.

In short, content signed with your identity key can be shared and independently verified by others.

Content Verification: Freely Accessible

Verification in Gen6 is open and accessible. Anyone can verify Gen6 identities directly through the Gen6 Blockchain and this process does not require the use of GSX.

Likewise, anyone can verify signed content through the Gen6 Blockchain without needing GSX. This ensures that both identity verification and content verification remain transparent, decentralized, and easy to access.
